Springtime in the Park!!
During the Regional Conference last year, the idea of going to Hersheypark was brought up. There seemed to be quite a few members interested in it, and now that Hersheypark has listed the date on their web page, I can finally give the details: When: April 5th and 6th, 2008 Hours: Saturday, April 5 - 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Sunday, April 6 - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM NOTE: Weather permitting. Rides, particularly the roller coasters, may be subject to late openings and/or early closures in the event of unseasonably cold temperatures. (That being said, last year was the first year since my wife and I have been going (12 years) that it snowed that weekend) Tickets: Convenient pay-one-price admission. Price includes unlimited rides and entertainment, and ZOOAMERICA all day long! Regular (ages 9 - 54) $19.95 Junior/Senior (ages 3 - 8 & 55+) $14.95 Consecutive Day $8.00 2-Day Regular $27.95 2-Day Junior/Senior $21.00 Other Attractions at Hersheypark include: The fun continues at nearby HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE WORLD with: HERSHEY'S Factory Works HERSHEY'S Really Big 3D Show Experience chocolate-making from bean to bar on our FREE chocolate-making tour. For more information, go to their webpage: http://www.hersheypa.com/events/springtime/index.php For those who would like to make this more of an adventure, we are talking about meeting up Friday at the Outlet malls just north of Hersheypark on Friday morning to go shopping, then head to Red Robin for lunch and their bottomless basket of fries, continue shopping in the afternoon, and then go to Doc Holidays for dinner about 5PM (Doc Holidays is an excellent Steak Resteraunt next to the hotel that we are working with). Saturday would be all day at the Park. We would get together early and go for breakfast as a group, then head to the park. For those who want to, they can stay and go to the park Sunday as well (unfortunately, my wife and I have a meetng that Sunday in Baltimore we have to be at).
